Acts Sports FA recorded a landmark 2–1 victory over Nigeria’s U-17 national team, the Golden Eaglets, in a high-profile friendly at the NFF Center in Abuja.

The Golden Eaglets, five-time U-17 Africa Cup of Nations champions, had gone into the game in strong form, preparing for their next continental campaign after defeating Morak FC of Delta State 5–1 in their previous outing. But Acts Sports, a fast-rising academy side, showed remarkable character to overturn a one-goal deficit and claim an unforgettable win.

Golden Eaglets struck first in the opening half, taking a 1–0 lead into the break. In the second half, Acts Sports regrouped under the guidance of their coaches and director, making tactical changes that altered the momentum. Joseph scored the equalizer, before Alloy sealed the turnaround from the penalty spot, handing Acts Sports a famous 2–1 triumph.

The performance reflected more than just a scoreline. It highlighted a team built on discipline, resilience, and a willingness to learn. Players admitted they lacked leadership in the first half, but with key substitutions and a shift in mentality, Acts Sports grew stronger. “The changes brought belief and direction,” one player explained. “Once we started showing leadership on the field, the game changed.”

For a club still writing its story, this was more than a win, it was a message. Competing against Nigeria’s most celebrated youth side, Acts Sports showed it can match intensity with maturity, proving that development and trust can stand tall against pedigree.

As the final whistle blew, the significance of the night was not lost. The team celebrated with pride, posing for pictures at the NFF Center, while reflecting on the lessons learned. “If we keep building leadership across the team, we can become unbeatable,” a player added.

Only a few years into its journey, Acts Sports FA is already shaping a pathway for young talent. The win over the Golden Eaglets will not only be remembered for the score but also for the confidence and experience it gave every player.
